Hello there! I'm Karen

I currently manage a team of amazing humans who also happen to be digital product designers. I co-founded Saurio, a Chilean creative studio. I have taught design courses in Asia and led different design initiatives worldwide. I am constantly learning and updating skills, currently focusing on enhancing my expertise in managing UX teams.

Garbi is the brand name of a Chilean liquid detergent. While working with Expandia, in 2017 I was requested to design packaging and logo for this project.

The most interesting of this project is Garbi is manufactured in Chilean Patagonia and we try to represent typical flora and fauna as well as the natural and fresh smell of each product using only colours and minimalistic design:

  • Hypoallergenic
  • White clothes
  • Colour clothes

We used bubbles effect in the logo to emphasise it's a cleaning product brand which helped us to keep the minimalist without losing the message.

I also supported another of Expandia's business partners, designing logo and packaging for Cloe (natural fruit juice powder). If you want to take a look, just click on the project.
